As much as I love Fashion, Visual Art and Film, my childhood dream was always to write my own fantasy story. To me, it is the pinnacle of Art. You can bring together narrative, imagery, politics, emotion, philosophy and entertainment, and use all of them to create something completely immersive.

Since the dawn of humanity, when we were sitting around campfires in tribes, human life has been shaped by mythology. We have always told stories about gods, heroes, monsters, kings, creation, destruction, love and death. And I don't think mythology is just a collection of made-up stories. In a lot of ways, I think mythology is more real than the logic we place so much value on today. Logic can tell us how something works, but stories are what tell us why it matters. Civilisations aren't built on facts alone. They're built on the stories people share, the things they believe in, and the meaning they give to their lives. Without stories, I don't think civilisation as we know it would exist.

Unfortunately, I realised pretty quickly that writing your own fantasy story is not exactly a small task. I didn't have the life experience, maturity or discipline to write something that I felt was genuinely good. I had plenty of ideas, but ideas are the easy part. Actually turning them into a world that feels believable, meaningful and alive is a completely different challenge.

But I'm about to turn thirty, and I feel like the tide is finally starting to turn. I've lived more, experienced more, thought about things more deeply, and I feel like I finally have a story to give. Not just an idea I've had in my head, but something I genuinely want to bring into the world.

And so, I've started.
